A private investor for 20+ years, I manage private portfolios and write about investing. You can read my market musings on three different sites: 1) The Deipnosophist, dedicated to teaching the market's processes and mechanics; 2) Investment Poetry, a subscription site dedicated to real time investment recommendations; and 3) Seeking Alpha, a combination of the other two sites with a mix of reprints from this site and all-original content. See you here, there, or the other site!

The folly of price AND time

Hmmm, what happens if...
- Christmas comes, but not 1330?
- 1330 comes, but well before Christmas?
- 1330 comes, but well after Christmas?
- Insert here your favorite permutation

In other words, where are the contingency plans? You know, if this, then that; if not this, then this other.

Tom DeMark is a smart fellow - he knows and understands the markets well - so I suspect the journalist edited Tom's commentary to the headline-grabber.

Ahh, the folly of pronouncements. I prefer good old money management.
