A private investor for 20+ years, I manage private portfolios and write about investing. You can read my market musings on three different sites: 1) The Deipnosophist, dedicated to teaching the market's processes and mechanics; 2) Investment Poetry, a subscription site dedicated to real time investment recommendations; and 3) Seeking Alpha, a combination of the other two sites with a mix of reprints from this site and all-original content. See you here, there, or the other site!

A Singular Opportunity

By now, you know those words (A Singular Opportunity™) refer to Google/GOOG, or at least my interpretation of the company's investment potential. Today marks two years (!) since I began recommending you purchase the shares on the IPO -- both privately and publicly, here and elsewhere, and always loudly. Not to neglect the copious buy recommendations subsequent to the IPO.

The market has chosen to vindicate that perception. Because of its successes, the company is subject to lots of chatter.
This interview with John Battelle offers more insights than most others do. Such as this article from Wharton that, although interesting, represents typical journalistic equivocation.
